- Assisted Living & Memory Care Facilities
Assisted Living & Memory Care Facilities
Volunteers aim to liven spirits, build social relationships, combat loneliness and isolation, and stimulate minds!
Residents in the community requiring assisted living services have a wide range of supports and needs.
Communities may have luxurious amenities including daily planned activities, art and music therapy, and frequent social activities such as happy hour and BINGO nights. Other communities may have limited amenities, limited planned activities, access to live music entertainment, and infrequent visitors. Caring Hearts and Voices works with senior communities to provide live music entertainment from volunteers with group performances and sing-a-longs. |
Volunteers will visit Assisted Living & Memory Care communities as a large group of volunteers to:
- Walk around and greet residents
- Assist residents in participating in class activities such as balloon toss, use of percussive instruments, accessing song lyrics for sing a longs, and retrieving memories during group discussions.
- Lead music activity or entertainment (sound equipment and songbooks provided by Caring Hearts and Voices).
Public & Private Performances
Caring Hearts and Voices volunteers for Private & Public Performances are professional-level. Auditions or Demo samples are required for consideration to participate in performances.
Entertainers will need to have 30-90 minutes of performance content prepared at intermediate to advanced level to be considered for performance opportunities (memorized sets not required). Most performances are scheduled in 1 hour blocks, however some are as long as 3 hours. Multiple performers may share a set. Caring Hearts and Voices provides sound equipment and a sound tech as needed. Volunteering with Caring Hearts and Voices is a great way to get your feet wet in the music world! |
